Balearic Islands Day
Folk festivities begin on the first day of the month and are not some kind of holiday, but the main administrative holiday of all the Balearic Islands.
On the first day of March, Mallorca, together with the islands of Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, celebrates the Day of the Declaration of the Autonomy of the Balearic Islands, which was granted to the islands on March 1, 1983.
Naturally, the largest celebrations are held in Palma de Mallorca – the capital of the Balearic Autonomy. The center has stalls and tents with local handicrafts and gastronomic picks, both traditional Balearic cuisine and typical dishes for the multinational communities that inhabit the islands.
Various entertainment events for children and adults, concerts and master classes are held throughout the day. Entrance to most museums on this day is free, including on this day you can visit the Parliament building of the Balearic Islands and the residence of the President of the Balearic Islands.
Ceramic Fair “Fira del Fang”
March 5-13 Ceramic Fair “Fira del Fang” – MarratxiThis is a traditional fair and festival of local crafts that takes place in Mallorca. Marratxí has been the pottery capital of Mallorca since the Middle Ages, and the festival of handicrafts and ceramists has been held in this town for over three hundred years.

Being (obviously) food a staple since the beginning of time, clay was an element with which our ancestors could make certain utensils with which to cook the few foods available to them. A simple matter of survival… This year, as the last edition had to be suspended, the central theme of the Mud Fair will once again be ‘Kitchens of the world with ceramics’.
XVIII Rally Isla Mallorca
The Rally Clasico Isla Mallorca 18th edition.Amazing event set up in iconic Puerto Portals has positioned itself among the 5 best events of the year that are held in Mallorca, in front of events like the King’s Cup sailing or the Mallorca Open – WTA Tennis Tournament, among others. 3 days rally event with more than 500 km of which 170 km of closed road stages. In this event allowed to compete the cars road legal built until the year 1985. The competition is in two main categories: Regularity, where drivers need to drive with predetermined speed to get as close as possible to the optimum time. The second category is the competition, where it goes in different classes against the clock. Additionally there is also a young timer category for cars built after 1985.
Is an event that takes place every 2nd weekend of March (10.- 12.3.2022) on our privileged island in the Mediterranean Sea.
This rally is combining competitiveness with pleasure and is a reference for other rallies on several aspects.
This shows that not only is it an engine competition but also a great sporting and social event, where local and resident participants from different nationalities of the world mix. The organizers just announced a few days ago that the famous Italian race driver Paolo Diana, will compete at this year’s edition with his Fiat 131.
