October is one of the best times of the year to visit Majorca if you like warm
temperatures, great weather, and thinner crowds – perfect for the school breaks.
As mentioned before, Majorca is truly amazing in autumn!
Even though it is autumn, Majorca still enjoys warm weather in October. The weather
is still wonderfully pleasant with highs of 25 degrees and lows of 14 degrees at night.
So, pack a good selection of swimwear but also some warmer things for the evenings.
October is usually a month full of traditional fairs celebrating the harvest and local
produce but due to the pandemic nothing is as it normally should be, and most of
them have been cancelled.
The cooler temperature makes it ideal for wine trails, a cycling holiday, go hiking or
even running in beautiful Serra de Tramuntana, playing a few rounds of golf on one of
the many beautiful golf courses on the island, rent a yacht, going to local festivals,
taking a swim after a nice morning walk along the sea or why not a take a dip in the
sea in the evening before you go out for dinner in one of the many nice restaurants but
without the summer crowds.

Classical Music Festival 2nd,9th, 16th and 23d of October, Port de Soller.

This is a fantastic event for music lovers set in the beautiful Museo de la Mar, in Port de Soller, which looks over the sea and spectacular sunsets. Zafiro Palma Marathon, 10th October, Palma de Mallorca.

This is a great event for all runners held in the unique setting of the city of Palma de Mallorca and with a privileged climate. The participants of the race will enjoy a course that runs along the boardwalk of Palma Bay, opposite the Cathedral and the historic old town, with crowds cheering and pushing, altering their adrenaline to the maximum! Mallorca Classic Week, 14th to 17th October, Port Adriano.

Mallorca Classic Week by Port Adriano is an exceptional event for all for all classic car lovers. Port Adriano, along with other companies and institutions, have launched this event with many experiences for the enjoyment of all and where you can find music, dance, exhibitions … as well as activities with certain NGOs. You will also find food and drinks at affordable prices within the environment of American cars, classic cars, boats, and motorcycles. The spectator admission is free for all festival activities. Ironman Mallorca, 16th October, Port de Alcudia.

Alcudia’s Ironman 70.3 takes place in the beautiful resort of Alcudia and is normally held in spring but has been moved to October, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The swim course takes place in the city’s harbour with a soft sandy shore and views of steep cliffs and secluded coves whilst the bike track follows a challenging route mixed with hills and flat stretches. Cycling tour Mallorca 312, 24th October, Alcudia.

Two years, 5 months and 29 days later, Mallorca 312 (Milestone Series) is back. The pandemic prevented its implementation in 2020 and on its usual date in April, 2021. It However, due to the good pace of vaccination and the positive forecasts for October it will be held 24th of October 2021. The race will again have three routes (312 Km, 225 Km and 167 Km).

The past Mallorca 312 race edition gathered 8,000 participants who joined this sporting event from all over the world and celebrated its tenth edition. Participants were able to pedal next to professional cyclists such as Miguel Induráin and Óscar Freire as well as honoree Alberto Contador

The event will be held in compliance with the health measures established to preserve the safety of participants and Mallorcans. Although the circumstances are developing positively, the organization will continue to monitor the evolution of the situation to take any decision if necessary. COVID UPDATE FOR OCTOBER 2021

The return to the new normality on the Balearic Islands. These are the the main novelties for the de escalation, valid from 28th September 2021: 

– Pubs – Closing at 04h, unless the municipal ordinances establish an earlier hour.

– Discotheques and the like – opening conditions pending judicial ratification.

– Restaurants – No maximum amount of people per table. Interior capacity increases to 75%.   Closing time according to license and municipal ordinances.

– Social gatherings – Weddings, baptisms, communions, vigils, beaches and parks without restrictions.

– Sports – Indoor fitness gyms increases to 100%. Mandatory mask use. Outstanding competitions pending from the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System.

– Cultural events – Exteriors includes concerts, max. 2,500 pers. the rest seated. No drinks allowed. Interiors max. 500 pers. seated.
