Mallorca’s top 6 favorite beaches of the locals – No. 1: CALA TORTA

That you will find the most beautiful dream beaches in Mallorca. The largest of the Balearic islands, is not a secret anymore. There are 262 beaches in Mallorca with a total length of 50 km. But where it is really, really  quiet and beautiful, this of course, only the locals know. Luckily, they share their secrets and we can immerse ourselves in the beautiful, Mediterranean life. And above all, in the sky-blue, crystal-clear waters, on powdery white, sandy beaches, surrounded by spicy fragrants of the pine forests.

Beautiful sandy beach amidst breathtaking scenery in the northeast

Cala Torta is an approximately 130 meters long and 200 meters wide bay. There is a beautiful, bright sandy beach in the Natural Park de Llevant near the town of Artá in the northeast of the island. The water in this bay is turquoise and clear, but not necessarily suitable for children, because the water is directly very deep. This as well is a reason why the beach of Cala Torta even during the high season is quite deserted. This makes it a perfect oasis of tranquility.

Behind the natural beach extends a beautiful dune landscape, embedded in a hilly nature reserve. Perfect for stunning hikes along the coast, you can walk from one bay to another. During high season you will find a small beach bar, where you get fantastic fresh fish. In the summer Cala Torta is monitored. There are often strong currents, which is why adults as well should be careful.
Here you will find no beach sellers, no touristic water activities, only beautiful turquoise sea, pure nature and a lot of holiday feeling.
